LUTON: World should realize the gravity of situation and play its important role to resolve Kashmir issue before Afghanistan issue as Kashmir is a nuclear flash-point, said Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, former AJK Prime Minster and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party AJK.
He was addressing a condolence reference arranged in memory of Chaudhry Noor Hussain by PPP leader Chaudhry Amin Pothi, in Dao Community Center. Chaudhry Shafat a renowned community leader and close associate of Barrister Sultan
With the demise of Chaudhry Noor Hussain a chapter of accession of Kashmir with Pakistan and freedom of Kashmir was closed, but I assure you I will continue the struggle, he said.
Barrister Sultan said during his visit to Britain and Europe he will raise the Kashmir issue in British and European Parliament and International Court of Justice and urge them to respect the sentiments of Kashmiri nation and press India to allow Kashmiris to exercise their right of self-determination. “I will build a powerful world opinion for early solution of Kashmir issue”, he added.
Others who addressed the function were former Political Secretary Chaudhry Shaban, Salis Raza Kayani, Tariq Dar Chairman Pakistan Center, former Mayor of Walthamstow Councilor Liaqat Ali, Faiz Ahmed Faizi community leader from Northampton, Azhar Badalvi Chairman PYO Europe, Chaudhry Shaukat Farid Administrator Kotli, who paid glowing tributes to deceased Chaudhry Noor Hussain saying the deceased was a seasoned politician of a great vision who was always thinking of freedom of Kashmir. Chaudhry Noor Hussain was true follower of Quaid e Azam and trained his son Barrister Sultan Mehmood on the same lines, they said.
They said on the basis of training Sultan Mehmood got from his father, it is sure the freedom movement of Kashmir would be crowned with success under his leadership.
