HALIFAX: Parliamentarians of ten cities of Britain have signed the petition assured their support to Kashmir Conference on February 5, Kashmir Solidarity day at House of Commons and both Parliamentarians from Halifax Linda Riordan and Craig Whittaker have assured their support to program of Jammu Kashmir Right of Self Determination Movement (SDM).
The Pakistani and Kashmiri Councilors from South of England, Community leaders and Parliamentarians and British and Pakistani politicians have geared up their efforts to hold debate on Kashmir in British Parliament.
British and Kashmiri politicians irrespective of their political affiliation will gather in the Parliament to jointly raise voice for Kashmiri right of self-determination.
In Kashmir Conference to be held in House of Commons Pakistan High Commissioner in Britain Wajid Shamsul Hassan, Chairman Kashmir Group Andrew Griffiths and other parliamentarian address the function.
A representative delegation of SDM led by its Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain met with Labor Party MP Linda Riordan, Conservative MP from Calder Valley Craig Whittaker, Labor MP for Rochdale Simon Danczuk in their respective offices and talked with them regarding their support for Kashmir Signature Campaign and sought their signatures on petition.
The delegation informed the British Parliamentarians about the efforts of Kashmir Group members David Ward MP, Debbie Abrahamas MP and Sarah Champion MP.
The Parliamentarians have declared this all party and cross party issue and assured their full cooperation in this matter.
Besides Raja Najabat the delegation was comprised of Sardar Abdul Rehman Khan, Advisor to AJK Premier, SDM Yorkshire Chairman Chaudhry Akram, North of England leader of Tehreek e Tahfuz e Namoos e Risalat Malik Rehmat Awan, Haji Mehboob Hussain, Conservative Muslim forum Yorkshire Secretary Dr Ghulam Abbas, SDM Secretary General Muhammad Azam, women leader Asia Banu, Labor Party candidate for European Parliament Councilor Afzal Khan, while Parliamentarians from Rochdale were present along with Councilor Iftikhar Ahmed, Councilor Sultan and Adalat Ali.
Chairman SDM Raja Najabat Hussain thanked the Parliamentarians and Councilors from North of England for raising Kashmir issue forcefully on international forums, saying with the active support from North of England so fat 30 British Parliamentarians have signed the petition.
He said very shortly with the support of All Party Parliamentarians of Midlands and South the petition will be put before the Back Benches Business Committee.
The delegation thanked the Parliamentarians for supporting Kashmir cause selflessly.
All three Parliamentarians have assured to participate in public gatherings regarding the Kashmir petition so that more support would be gained for Kashmir cause.
