Talented Kashmiri defeats mother in law of Tony Blair

MANCHESTER: Whatever any British politician remarks about Pakistani and Kashmiri community and whatever the reaction will be can be called an incident, but when anyone from this community on the basis of his abilities is not an incident but a reality.
The youthful people from Pakistani and Kashmiri community like first Muslim woman minister Baroness Saeeda Warsi, Chairman Friends of Pakistan in European Parliament Sajjad Karim, Mayor Waltham Forest Nadeem Ali have shown their metal.
Recently a son of Kashmir after defeating a woman from former prime minister’s well known political family in local council elections has forced political pundits to think about the capacities.
Zaheer Abbas, a young person hailing from a village Anohi Sarsota of district Kotli Azad Kashmir has made an upset in local council elections by defeating the mother in law of former Prime Minister Tony Blair in neck to neck contest.
Zaheer Abbas, contested elections of Todmorden Local Council on ticket of Liberal Democratic against Stephanie Booth, mother in law of Tony Blair, and it was beyond the imaginations in English majority council that a non British young man will defeat a seasoned politician. But, this is beauty of democracy in the country known as Mother of Democracy that anyone could win on the basis of his capacity.
The victory of Raja Zaheer, became a source of happiness for Pakistani community and his relatives.
It is worth mentioning here Zaheer Abbas belongs to a village of Kotli and is son of ex Banker Raja Mehtab Khan (late) while he is cousin of Raja Talib Khan Advocate and Raja Abrar Hussain.
Community leaders from all over Britain expressed happiness over the success of Zaheer Abbas, while he thanked Allah, his voters who reposed confidence and he assured his voters that he will use all out efforts to come over their expectations.
He said that he will work hard and make politics a way to serve people
