BRADFORD: Overseas Pakistanis are more sensitive for the country while living abroad they are taking pain of the country and main aim of constitution of Overseas Pakistanis Solidarity (OPS) is to encourage people who will invest their money in Pakistan.
These were the views of speakers in inauguration of Yorkshire brand of OPS where Lord Nazir Ahmed, British Peer and a renowned community leader was chief guest, while OPS Chairman Javed Malik presided over the meeting. Lord Mayor of Bradford Chaudhry Khadim Hussain participated in the function to show solidarity with overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris on this important issue.
“The main aim of OPS is to create chances of serving country and people who dare to invest in Pakistan keeping aside all threats will be encouraged”, Javed Malik said, adding OPS raised the problems of Overseas Pakistani on all forums, besides government functionaries during their visits to Britain were informed about these problems/
He said the OPS also raised the issues with government functionaries in Pakistan. The struggle of OPS will remain continue till resolution of all problems of overseas Pakistani, he added.
Lord Nazir Ahmed praised the efforts of OPS and assured complete support in resolving the issues.
Lord Mayor Khadim Hussain said it is a good omen that the OPS has no political agenda and want to resolve issues of overseas Pakistani on merit.
Consul General Khalid Ahmed Bajwa said he will use all out efforts to resolve all the problems of Overseas Pakistani and the matters will be passed on to Government of Pakistan for their resolution.
Other prominent who participated in the function were Rafiq Sehgal Chairman of Council of Mosques, renowned Business leader Tariq Chaudhry, Chief Advisor OPS Nadia Chaudhry, Raja Najabat Chairman Right of Self-Determination Movement, Idrees Muhammad, Secretary General Awami Muslim League Beena Khan, Shahnaz Siddiq, Yaqoob Masih, Sharjeel Malik.
On the occasion the names of officer bearers of OPS Yorkshire were announced which are Asif Khan President, Shahnaz Siddiq Vice President, Sharjeel Malik Secretary General, Raja Sheraz Joint Secretary, Muhammad Amin Finance Secretary and Idrees Muhammad as Information Secretary.
