Police release identification of woman killed in sign post crash

BIRMINGHAM: Police have confirmed the name of a Birmingham woman who died after a crash in Kingsbury.
Jo-Anne Mackian, who lived in Ryland Street in the city but was orginally from Cardiff, was the front seat passenger in a silver Peugeot 308 which left the A4097 Kingsbury Road, near to junction 9 of the M42 and collided with a sign post.
The 28-year old died at the scene of the incident which happened at around 5am on Saturday (November 2)
The driver of the car, a 30-year old male, suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to the University Hospital Coventry.
He was later arrested in relation to motoring offences, but has been released on police bail pending further enquires.
