Oscar 2014 “Gravity” triumphed as the top award-winner

London: The 86th Oscar awards for best actor and actress went to Matthew McConaughey, for his role as a desperate and determined AIDS patient in “Dallas Buyers Club,” and Cate Blanchett for playing a fragile socialite experiencing a meltdown in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine.”

“12 Years a Slave” won the Oscar for best picture awards, while the 3D space spectacle “Gravity” triumphed as the night’s top award-winner.

Host Ellen DeGeneres of the 86th Annual Oscars delivered a beautiful, flawless night, yet the Oscars’ best moments weren’t just DeGeneres’ jokes. Instead, they were the moments when celebrities graced the stage and exuded their raw emotions, heartfelt speeches and most importantly, their love for film.

Some of the most memorable moments of the night happened when the celebrities showed their raw emotions. As the Dolby Theater buzzed with excitement, singers such as Pharrell Williams from Despicable Me 2’s song “Happy” triggered dancing in the audience. In the ecstasy of winning, actors and actresses nearly choked with joy as they clutched their golden trophies. The audience worldwide roared with applause as these actors made history with their extraordinary talent.
