OPs are patriots, eager to play role in socio economic development: Gul

MANCHESTER: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is well aware of problems of overseas Pakistanis and is making serious efforts to resolve these issues and it is imperative to make solid efforts to make relationship of youth with country close, said Zubair Gul, President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) while talking to media at PML-N North West office.

The function was also attended by a large number of party leaders and workers and journalists and prominent among were Hamza Basit Butt, Senior Vice President PML-N UK, Raja Sajjad PML-N North West President, Chaudhry Abdul Karim Chairman North West, Asad Sajjad Butt President Yorkshire chapter, Mehboob Khan Vice President Manchester Chapter, Bilawal Butt Secretary General Youth Wing Manchester, Ashfaq Hussain President Youth Wing Manchester, Tasleem Bashir President Youth Wing North West, Qamar Zaman Bhatti President Manchester chapter, Raja Jalil Rehman President Bolton chapter, Syed Akhtar Ali, Shahid Mughal, Raja Shahnawaz and Fazal Mujadid

PML-N office bearers of North and Britain were present on the occasion.

Zubair Gul said he demanded a separate court and special desk at every consulate for overseas Pakistan, besides constitution of a powerful institution which find out problems of overseas Pakistani and recommend the solution.

“During my visit to Pakistan I met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Governor Punjab and Hamza Shahbaz and I apprised them about the problems overseas Pakistanis are facing and suggested the constitution of an institution to resolve problems”, he said.

He said he has also suggested special courts in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir for quick dispensation of justice to overseas Pakistanis, besides establishing complaints at Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and all consulate level where appointment of DIG and DCO level officers is imperative.

He said he will remain active to resolve problems of overseas Pakistanis and always apprise the party leadership and government to make quick efforts for solution of problems.

Zubair Gul said overseas Pakistanis are patriotic people and want to play their role in socio economic development of the country, but it is sad and pathetic the terrorism has over shadowed the pace of development/

He said the Government is serious in elimination of terrorism and dialogue is under process with Taliban to make peace in the country/

Media men also apprised the PML-N leader Zubair Gul about problems of overseas Pakistanis. They said the visas are being delayed and extra fee being charged at Gerry’s FedEx for processing visa and extra charges on telephone calls.
