BRADFORD: Founding father of Pakistan Quaid e Azam was a great personality of the world and ‘Faith, Unity and Discipline’ are golden principles and a better guide to get rid of present day problems.
This was stated by Wajid Shamsul Hassan while addressing a function organized at Pakistan Club.
It was due to political vision, prudence and unshakable trust on himself and un-parallel leadership of Quaid e Azam that give Muslims of South Asia a safe homeland Pakistan, Wajid Shamsul Hassan said.
He termed the constitution of Pakistan Club a good omen saying witnessing a patriotic and literate youth at Pakistan Club is a pleasant surprise. “It is being said Pakistanis living in Bradford and its surroundings are not taking pain about education of their children, but after seeing the enthusiasm of young generation the mind is changed”, he added.
Britain is a bouquet of different cultures and civilizations and it is much better than Europe for Muslims, where they enjoy religious freedom, he said, adding top politicians of world got political asylum in Britain in hour f crisis.
He said for youth there are better educational institutions available in Britain and after getting education in these institutions youth can feel a better opening for their future.
Newly converted Muslim writer Christina Baker participated in the function in special invitation and while addressing the gathering she said Islam is a peaceful religion and a complete guide for human beings. “Due to Imran Khan I got opportunity to visit Pakistan which brought me close to Islam. I traveled all over Pakistan where people are satisfied in spite of various difficulties”, she said, adding after reading Islamic literature, particularly books about ‘sufism’ she got better know-how of Islam.
Talking about his book “MTV to Mekkah” she said a lot of hurdles were created in publication of this book, as it is rejection of negative propaganda against Islam. But with the blessings of Allah Almighty and Muslim community’s support the book was published.
Finance Director of Pakistan Club Raja A D Khan praised the services of President of the Club saying by using platform of Pakistan Club they are ready to render sacrifices for Pakistan.
President of the Club, Iftikhar Ahmed said the main purpose of formation of Pakistan Club is to keep the young generation aware of traditions and values of Pakistan and to strive to introduce Pakistani culture in Britain.
Chairman of the Club Nisar Ahmed thanked the participants.
On the occasion Nooran Lal, renowned Pakistani singer enthralled the audience.
Dr Muhammad Iqbal, Javed Khan, Rehan Ahmed, Raja Wajid Iqbal, Chaudhry Manisa, Sohail Abdal, Farhat Shaheen, Rafiq Sehgal were presented shields by Lord Mayor Bradford Khadim Hussain, Wajid Shamsul Hassan and Christina Baker on behalf of Pakistan Club.
