SHEFFIELD: People who have killed Pakistan Army Personnel and humiliated the bodies of soldiers are not Muslims, said British Peer and renowned community leader Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rodhram.
“It is sad and pathetic as who is funding these terrorists who want to impose Islam on gun point and not spare children and women and these elements should be brought to public”, Lord Nazir Ahmed, former Chairman All Parties Parliamentary Group on Kashmir, said while addressing a function organized by Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, Chairman Pakistan Muslim Center Sheffield.
Lord Nazir Ahmed was of the view that under the conspiracy law and order situation in Pakistan is being disturbed and at this crucial juncture whole nation including the Government and Opposition should be on one page. They should be united to take stern action against the anti-Pakistan people, he added.
Now it is time that whole nation be united against the terrorists and who want dialogue they should be involved in dialogue but the people who are not ready for dialogue should be taken to task, Lord Nazir said.
Talking about his recent meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Lord Nazir said the meeting was very positive and matters related to overseas Pakistanis, AJK political situation, current spade of terrorism and many bilateral issues were discussed. The resolution of problems of overseas Pakistanis was on top of the agenda, he added.
Addressing the gathering Muhammad Nazir Awan said the hearts of overseas Pakistanis are beating with Pakistan as they are a precious asset of Pakistan and are sending billions of rupees as foreign exchange for Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis have a big role in socio economic development of Pakistan, but it is unfortunate their land is being occupied in Pakistan and when they take any action they are being involved in fake cases, he maintained.
These are facts the overseas Pakistanis are reluctant to send foreign exchange and to invest their money in Pakistan, he said.
He said people are asking whenever you visit Pakistan go and visit Government schools and try to resolve their problems for better education of youth.
Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Sheffield Abdul Qayyum Khan said Pakistan Counsel should make the Surgery in Pakistan Muslim Center a permanent feature. The processing fees of Gerry’s FedEx should be complete abolished and a help desk should be established at Islamabad Airport to help overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris, he demanded.
