Manchester a bridge for people of all religions: Lord Mayor Naeem

MANCHESTER: Lord Mayor of Manchester Councilor Naeem ul Hassan has urged the Muslims round the globe to prove by their deeds not words that Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH was a blessing of Allah on entire humanity. “On Eid Miladun Nabi, we are talking to world that Islam is religion of peace, love and brotherhood but it needs to be proved by our deeds”, the Lord Mayor said while talking to a delegation of Shiite Ulema at his chamber.

A Delegation of Majlis Ulema e Shia Europe North West, led by Moulana Syed Fida Hussain Bokhari called on Lord Mayor Naeem ul Hassan. The other members of delegation were Dr Sajad Rizvi, Qaiser Bokhari and Syed Farhat Abbas.

The delegation presented bouquet to Lord Mayor on Birth Anniversary of Holy Prophet PBUH saying Ulema Shia are united with rest of Muslim Ummah to frustrate the conspiracies against Muslims.

Lord Mayor Naeem ul Hassan welcomed the delegation and assured of his support to ensure the unity of Muslim Ummah and will prove a bridge to make cordial relations between people of different religions.

Speaking on the occasion Labor Party candidate for European Parliament Council Afzal Khan said Muslims round the globe have to forget the personal or sectarian conflicts and show complete unity.
