Love and Care for homeless at Pakistan Centre, Brent

London: Pakistan Centre Willesden Green was probably the only community centre who served the homeless and needy people during Christmas period. An event was arranged for these people presided by Tariq Dar Chairman Pakistan Centre, attended by Rev Rana, Dany Maher, Father Trevor and other community leaders.

Expressing his views Tariq dar said, this is the first of this kind in UK in any Muslim Centre and credit goes to Pakistan Centre who have been doing this for last five years. He appraised the humble co operation of ten churches in Brent Borough Council. We need to show that we care and part of this community, this is humanity which we are taught in Islam, he added.

Christian Leaders said, more than 80,000 children spending Christmas homeless this year. “The homeless family become the refugees in a foreign land. 80,000 homeless children in Britain is indeed a disgrace, but the hundreds of thousands of refugee children, fleeing from Syria and other countries, is more disgraceful still. That needs to be spoken about at Christmas too” they added.

Tariq Dar informed them that these homeless persons will get help for 5 months to get proper accommodation and jobs. Centre will provide them every facility to cop the issues in due course.
