Kashmiris will be supported to frustrate plot to divide Kashmir: MPs

OLDHAM: British Parliamentarians have formed strategy to raise Kashmir issue on international forums and support Kashmiri people in their struggle for right of self-determination.

British Parliamentarians from Kashmiri majority area Oldham and surroundings Michael Meacher and Vice Chairperson Kashmir Group Debbie Abraham were talking to leaders of Right of Self Determination Movement (SDM). SDM leadership met the British Parliamentarians after successful Kashmir Solidarity Conference organized at House of Commons.

Former Mayor and Deputy Leader Oldham Council Councilor Shoaib Akhtar helped in the meeting while renowned Kashmiri scholar Shamsur Rehman was also present in the meeting.

British Parliamentarians said they will gear up efforts for resolution of Kashmir issue internationally.

They assured their full support to Kashmiri people in their struggle to attain right of self-determination and against the attempts being made to divide Kashmir. Every conspiracy to divide Kashmir will be exposed, they added.

Both the Parliamentarians have said they would patronize SDM in its efforts to attain their targets with the active support of Kashmir groups formed in British and European Parliament. They said they have signed the signature campaign of SDM and are playing important role in Parliament as well as in Kashmir Groups.

They termed the Kashmir Solidarity Conference held in British Parliament as successful conference ever held in last so many years.

On the occasion Chairman SDM Raja Najabat Hussain and Secretary General Muhammad Azam informed the Parliamentarians about the pace of signature campaign.
