Friends of Kashmir not allow India to erect wall on LoC: MP Galloway

BRADFORD: India is hatching conspiracy to divide th State of Jammu Kashmir by erecting a concrete wall on Line of Control (LoC), which would be resisted by Kashmiris and their justice and peace-loving friends round the world, said well-known Friend of Kashmir,, British politician George Galloway MP.

He was addressing a function organized by Jammu Kashmir Right of Self Determination Movement (JKSDM) at Bradford West, in connection with its signature campaign to hold debate on Kashmir issue in British Parliament, Former Lord Mayor Muhammad Ajeeb CBE, Advisor to AJK Premier Sardar Abdul Rehman Khan, Tehreek e Insaf Yorkshire leader Muhamamd  Asif, Sharjeel Malik and Tazem Sovener, Acting Chairman of JKSDM Amjid Hussain Mughal, Conservative Party Bradford leader Abdul Qayyum, Kashmiri leader Dr Muhammad Iqbal, Muslim Conference leader Haji Muhammad Najeeb, Bradford Muslim Women Forum Sabiha Khan, Campaign Coordinator of Labour Party Bradford and JKSDM Women Wing leader Maryam Ali, Snober Ali, Kulsom Akhtar, Shazia Iqbal and Aasia Bano, Haji Mehboob Hussain, Ghulam Mustafa, Haji Muhammad Iqbal, Haji Manzoor Hussain, and many youth and women activists participated in the function and assured ther full support in signature campaign.

Arshad Ali, Local Chairman of Respect Party has assured full support of his party in this campaign, saying that he and his party would play a vital role in struggle f Kashmiris.

George Galloway in his address said by signing the petition in presence of people of his constituency to make reaffirm my commitment to remain actively involved in struggle of Kashmiri people.

The Petition draft by Fiona Mactaggart in a way and Raja Najabat Hussain and his team is taking support from other Parliamentarians and Kashmiris round the Britain and very soon they will achieve the target of over 100,000 signatures to hold a three hour debate in British Parliament., he said adding this will be a big boost for Kashmir issue and highlight this internationally.

“I appeal Kashmiris round the Britain to join this campaign irrespective of their political affiliation to take Kashmir issue like Palestine issue to people of Britain”, he said, adding there is no doubt India image is better than Pakistan on international level but to resolve Kashmir issue as per internatinal laws is India commitment before UN.

Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru had promsied to hold plebiscite in Kashmir under the auspices of UN and presence of 700,000 Indian forces in Kashmir is weakening the claims of India over Kashmir, George Galloway said.

Earlier in his welcome address Raja Najabat Hussain Chairman JKSDM briefed the British Parliamentarians saying that there is no doubt George Galloway, as a Labour Party member has played very important role in highlighting Kashmiris’ struggle.
