Indian atrocities in Kashmir a challenge for World HR bodies: Sajad

MANCHESTER: Kashmiris are raising voice against Indian brutalities and excesses and moving from pillar to post for solution of this longstanding issue for the last 65 years, but failed to get any response, said Dr Sajad Karim, Member European Parliament and Chairman Friends of Pakistan.

“European Parliament has played its role and made efforts to find any durable solution of Kashmir issue and efforts in this regards would remain continue till Kashmiris get their right of self-determination”, Sajad Karim said while addressing a Kashmir Solidarity function organized by Pakistan Consulate Manchester at Pakistan Center Longsite Manchester. Dr Sajad Karim was chief guest on the occasion while function was conducted by Sajid Mehmood Qazi, Community Welfare Consular and Qari Javed recited verses from Holy Quran.

Sajad Karim said use of brutal force by Indian Army in occupied Kashmir is worst form of human rights violations and an open challenge for world powers and international human rights organizations. Besides having a challenge for world Kashmir issue is a test case for world powers as in case of any more delay in resolving this issue will cast heavy price, he added.

“Kashmiris be given their right of self-determination as enshrined in UN Resolutions and it is in best interest of both India and Pakistan”, Sajad said.

He urged Kashmiris to keep their political, personal, ideological differences and clashes aside and be united so that our voice is heard on international forums.

Addressing the gathering British Peer Lord Nazir Ahmed said whenever Saudi Arabia feels some hard time Pakistan Army helped them to come out of the crisis. “The Saudi Arabian leaderships’ parleys with India for a security package are beyond the thoughts of Pakistanis”, he added.

“We strongly condemn it and appeal to Pakistani Government to take the issue with Saudi Authorities with full force”, he said, adding if Saudia will remain stick with this, its membership of OIC be terminated.

Addressing the function Gerald MP urged the world powers to take extreme steps to resolve Kashmir issue.

Yasmeen Qureshi MP, Barrister Amjid Malik, Raja Aftab Sharif and Raja Najabat Hussain also addressed the function.
