London: Message of Allah brought by Holy Prophet PBUH was not only for Muslims but entire humanity. It was for the welfare, well-being, peace and prosperity of humanity. Every sane and literate person on this world is well aware of this message. Lord Nazir Ahmed expressed these views at Wembley Stadium in England’s capital of London where hundreds of interfaith personalities witnessed an unprecedented event held to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The event was named “Love Mohammed (PBUH) conference” organized by the Love Muhammad Campaign to mark the auspicious anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth. The Love Muhammad Campaign was founded in 2013 by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
The program commenced with Quran recitation, and also featured guest speakers, including Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Lord Nazir Ahmed, British academic Tariq Ramadan, Former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, members of the British House of Lord along with Farooq Murad, the secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain.
The event also included several inspirational live music performances, together with Hijab Exhibition, Islamic Art gallery, Award ceremony and a lot more.
Ayatollah Araki, coming from Iran, is the head of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST), who attended the event as a keynote speaker.
Earlier on January 7, he had announced that the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference will start work in the Iranian capital this month with hundreds of prominent Islamic scholars and thinkers in attendance.
Ayatollah Araki had also noted that 380 prominent Shiite and Sunni thinkers, scholars and religious figures from 58 countries will participate in 27th International Islamic Unity Conference, due to be held on January 17-19.
