London: Indian police has arrested one hacker in different search operations in Mubai, Pune and Ghaziabad. In a first-of-its-kind synchronised operation, the CBI on Friday acted on the inputs of FBI to arrest a man from Pune who allegedly hacked over 900 e-mail accounts across the globe for clients ranging from individuals to corporates. A Romanian hacker “Guccifer” was also arrested couple of days ago in Bucharest. He was famous for breaking into emails of former U.S. president George W. Bush’s family and entertainment figures.
India hacker Amit Vikram Tiwari 30 is a son of a senior Army officer. He was allegedly working for his clients through two web sites—www.hirehacker.net and www.anonymiti.com—with servers located in the US offering services of illegally accessing passwords of email accounts in exchange for a fee varying from USD 250-500. The raids were part of a joint operation by India, US, China and Romania based on FBI inputs.
