Muhammad Sarwar serving entire Pakistan: Tahir Inam

GLASGOW: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar is not only serving Punjab but entire Pakistan and by using his links on international level he got GSP Plus for Pakistan which will strengthen economy and provide jobs to youth, said Tahir Inam Sheikh, Media Coordinator for Governor Punjab, while addressing a dinner hosted for him by ‘Bazm e Sheir o Naghma’, a literary circle.

Inam said by getting GSP Plus Pakistani products will go to more than 28 European countries without duty, which can get billions of dollars for Pakistan; it will open the closed and sick industrial units and generate lakhs of job.

He said Chaudhry Sarwar has initiated the program to provide pure drinking water to schools and common people in Punjab so that people will remain safe from water-borne diseases. All this is being done will the active support from rich people and overseas Pakistanis were also involved by attracting to provide pure drinking water to their native areas, he added.

A special program is being started by Chaudhry Sarwar with the help of UN Representative and former British Premier Gordon Brown for school children and it will ensure enrollment of one million new children in schools, Tahir Inam said.

He said Governor Punjab is busy in creating a society where people have to get reference for legitimate work.

Addressing the function Rahat Zahid, Chairperson ‘Bazm e Sheir o Naghma’, said the social and journalistic career of Tahir Inam Sheikh is spread over three decades and he is source of inspiration for all living here.

Major Majid Hassan said Tahir Inam is a highly educated, honest and dedicated person having spirit to serve people.

Sheikh Muhammad Ashraf said the success and achievements Pakistani community attained in Scotland are due to Tahir Inam as he has a huge contribution.

Secretary General of Pakistan Press Club Scotland Sharqi Ahmed Tipu said he is very much impressed and inspired by the journalistic career of Tahir Inam.

Muhammad Azhar, Malik Zubair, Captain Farid Ansari, Ghulam Nabi, Kishwar Sabahat, Hameeda Hasib, Mrs Almas, Miss Shamshad Ghani, Tahir Dar, Mr Kardar, Nasir Mughal, Mehmood Haneef Siddiqui, Ishtiaq Ghazipuri, Gauhar, Yasmeen Ali, and Saleem Raza also addressed the gathering.
