Every Pakistani to join Imran Khan to clean politics from dirt: Waleed

SHEFFIELD: Waleed Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal, the thinker of Pakistan, has stressed the need to make Pakistan as it was dreamed by Allama Iqbal “We have to build a Pakistan of Allama Iqbal and we have to struggle for its freedom which would be not only economically stable but also free from following others”.

“We have struggle to bring Pakistan out from the clutches of forces who have kept it far away from economic stability, development and from making scientific inventions”, Waleed Iqbal said while addressing a function organized by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Sheffield.

Waleed Iqbal, who is also a senior leader of PTI, said Pakistan is facing acute crisis from many years, which demands from every Pakistani to come forward and clean the politics from dirt. “We have to join hands with Imran Khan to clean politics from dirt and lead the country towards a destination where it will be an economic power”, he added.

In Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa where PTI is running government, the national institutions were changed in a way to make them people friendly, while other political parties are making mere and hollow promises to people, Waleed said.

Atif Chaudhry, senior PTI leader said the patriotism and love for Pakistan of overseas Pakistanis is beyond any doubt, as half of the total budget is being provided by overseas Pakistanis in shape of remittances and foreign exchange. Keeping dual nationality holders away from Pakistan’s politics and leading the professional institutions is injustice towards overseas Pakistanis, he added.

He said PTI is struggling to give the right of vote and right to participation in politics to overseas Pakistanis.

President PTI Yorkshire Muhammad Aslam Bhutta said it is beyond any doubt that suspension of NATO supply will not help end drone attacks, but PTI by doing this has made its position clear.

Secretary General PTI Yorkshire Sharjeel Malik said the Allama Iqbal has did a great job by giving idea of Pakistan but politicians are not realizing the vision of Iqbal, which caused problems for country.

PTI Women Wing leader Shahnaz Siddiq said Imran Khan has formed PTI to fulfill the ideology of Iqbal and make Pakistan a strong and stable country.

Councilor Abrar Hussain, Asif Khan, Raja Muhammad Shafaqat, Mudasir Ali, Tanver Mohiuddin, Chaudhry Shahid and Chaudhry Ashiq also addressed the gathering. Haji Muhammad Nazir recited verses from Al-Quran and Dr Ehtishamul Haq conducted the stage.
