Deputy Council Leader of Rotherham cllr Jahangir restored unconditionally

SHEFFIELD: Deputy Council Leader of Rotherham Councillor Jahangir Akhtar, who was target of racist hatred,  was acquitted from the racist charges and restored on his post unconditionally.
He was allegedly charged for having links with a  gang member involved in rape of minor girls and it was allegedly being said that Jahangir Akhtar was aware of the crime, but he has kept quite.
After thorough probe in the matter, Yorkshire Police categorically stated that during the investigation no proof of involvement or having knowledge was found against Councillor Jahangir so that he is being restored on his post unconditionally.
Jahangir Akhtar said that he is thinking to file a defamation move against the newspaper which fanned the incident and demand defamation charged from the newspaper.
