Signing petition to hold Kashmir debate in Parliament is in full swing

Oldham: Jammu Kashmir Right of Self Determination Movement (JKSDM) Europe has called upon British Parliamentarians to raise their voice for the safety, protection and human rights of families of more than one million British Kashmiris, as British Kashmiris are concerned over construction of concrete wall on Line of Control (LoC) and over brutal Indian violations in occupied Kashmir.

Vice Chair of all Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir Debbie Abrahams MP has assured Kashmiri diaspora in UK that Labour Party has a very clear vision for the right of self determination of Kashmiris. Expressing her views in an event arranged by JKSDM to sign a petition at Oldhan Town Hall she said that British Parliamentarians always raise voice for human rights violations throughout the world including Kashmir but you need to to strength your voice for your right.

Earlier JKSDM hold a meeting with Labour Party Leadership team at Morley Town Hall and briefed the Labour Leadership about current situation prevailing in Indian occupied Kashmir. They told the Labour leaders about details of the petition to hold debate on Kashmir issue in British Parliament.
They urged Labour Party Leadership to ensure implementation of their party policy on Kashmir and raise voice to force India to stop ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir by involving world community.
The JKSDM delegation was consisting of its Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain, patron  Khan, Secretary General Muhammad Azam, Chairman Councillor’s Forum Councillor Afzal Khan, Deputy Chairperson Women Forum Yasmeen Dar, Deputy Chairman Youth Forum Councillor Taimur Tariq, Deputy Leader Oldham Council Councillor Shoaib Akhtar, Professional Forum Chief Dr Tasneem Tariq, Chairperson Bradford Muslim Women’s Forum Sabiha Khan, Councilor Nasreen Khan from Manchester, former Councillor Muhammad Sharif,  Women leaders Naveeda Khan, Uzma Khan, Aasia Banu, Abdul Razaq, Bawa Muhammad Siddiq, Muhammad Jameel and Ghulam Mustafa.
The Labour Party Leaders Harriet Harman MP the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Ed Balls MP Shadow Chancellor, Yvetter Cooper MP Shadow Home Secretary and MP from Birmingham Jack Dromey, Neil Dowson councillor fro Leeds and many other labour leaders were present on the occasion.
The meeting which was arranged by JKSDM Secretary General Muhammad Azam and Labour Candidate for European Parliament Councillor Afzal Khan, told the labour Party leaders Parliamentarians from all parties in British Parliament are busy in signature campaign on a petition to start debate on Kashmir issue in the Parliament. To make the event a success the JKSDM needs support and assistance of Labour Party.
The Women activists present on the occasion briefed Harriet Harman MP and Yvette Cooper MP about the barbaric attitude of Indian Army against the women of Kashmir and urged the parliamentarians to use their efforts to stop this brutal attitude.
The hosts thanked the Labour Party Leadership for showing interest in Kashmir issue.
