The Conservative Muslim Forum observes Eid Milan

LONDON: The Conservative Muslim Forum (CMF) Britain will be proper representation of Muslims in Conservative Party and it will highlight the policy of Prime Minister David Cameron to bring all communities under one platform, said Lord Altaf Sheikh while addressing the annual Eid ul-Adha reception of party held at Conference Room E of Westminster House, 7 Millbank, London.
The evening was well attended by Lord Altaf Sheikh, Chairman of the CMF, Eric Pickles – MP for Brentwood and Ongar and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Kris Hopkins – MP for Keighley and Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Communities and Local Government Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, Lord Tariq Ahmed of Wimbledon Lord Popat of Harrow Lord Singh of Wimbledon CBE Dr. Rami Ranger MBE, CMF Deputy Chairman Mohammed Amin.
The CFM meeting was attended by with over 120 participants from Britain’s diverse communities. The diversity of the participants was reflected in the diversity of the speakers. The participants include Raja Najabat Hussain of jammu Kashmir Tehreek e Haq e Khud Eradiyat, Raja Amjid of All Parties Kashmir Coordination Committee, Shahnaz Siddiq from Tehreek Insaf AJK, Sabiha Khan from Bradford Muslim Women Forum, Itrat Ali of CMF Yarkshire, Falak Khan, Councillor Muhammad Saleem former mayor of Aldershot, Councillor Zahid Ali, Sajjad Hussain, Mehbood Ahmed, Councillor Asif Ayub, Councillor kamal Butt, Khurram Mian and community leadrs of other areas.
Lord Sheikh said that in comming three months the bodies of CMF will be organized in every region and it will be party’s vanguard in selected the candidates for 80 constituncies and European Parliament.
Present British Government under leadership of David Cameron is playing an effective role in strangthening the country’s economic and playing its role on international forums, he said, adding that people living in Britain has to re-elect David Cameron as Prime Minister if they want to give their children a bright future.
He said that British political parties and government have always shown tolerance by celebrating the religious festivals of every community. He urged the community leaders to preach brotherhood and peaceful co-existance among all communities.
He said that in past CMF was inactive but now it will play its role in wonning the upcoming British parliamentary and European Parliament elections for this purpose the Forum has prepared a strategy to organize party at regional level.
He said that the CMF was formed nine yars back to introduce Conservative Party’s message of unity and equality to Muslims and other communities and the Forum played effective role in reorganizing the party.
he said that a comprehensive plan was devised to reorganization of party for which Raja Najabat Hussain, Begum Itrat Ali and former Councillor Mehboob Ahmed will play effective role. He said that the forum has name of Muslim Forum but people from other religions are included to serve the party.
Eric Pickles in his special address said that he is celebrating Eid ul Azha with Muslims from last four decades. He gave Eid greetings on his own and on behalf of Prime Minister David Cameron and said that Britain is a multu culture and multi religion country where people from all communities have played their role in development of the country and today the ruling party gave rile to people from different communities to play their role. In future party will support such people who can work for betterment of country.
Mohammed Amin concluded the formal proceeding by giving the vote of thanks. This was followed by a buffet dinner which was catered by Pride of Asia whose owner Mr Shelim has supported the CMF’s events for the last three years and catered for the last two Eid ul-Adha events.
