EDINBURGH: Former Advisor to United Nations and renowned human rights activist Ansar Barni hold meeting with Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond, the First Minister of Scotland and Minister for External Affairs and International Development, Humza Yousaf and discussed with them the matters related to Pakistani in Scotland prisons.
Ansar Barni, Chairman Ansar Barni Trust International was accompanied by his wife Shaheen Barni and Vice Chairman of Trust Fahad Barni.
Barni, who is former Human Rights Affairs Minister of Pakistan, also discussed host of issued including human rights, human trafficking, forced labor, terrorism and all other international issues with Scottish Ministers during the meeting.
The Scottish Ministers praised the efforts of Ansar Barni for protection of human rights and helping prisoners round the globe.
The Scotland Government diverted the attention of Ansar Barni towards a Scottish citizen in Pakistani prison, who was awarded death penalty in spite of having mentally abnormal.
Barni assured the Scottish ministers that if the prisoner is mentally abnormal the Ansar Barni Trust International will help his release on humanitarian grounds.
