Awareness for overseas Pakistanis rights to vote needed: Amjad Malik

Manchester: Deputy Mayor of Oldham Cllr. Fida Hussain called on Barrister Amjad Malik and discussed matters of mutual interest. Both agreed to facilitate an increase in business activity leaving no stone unturned to ensure security of the lives of overseas Pakistanis their property and life savings in Pakistan.

Barrister Amjad Malik briefed the Deputy Mayor of Oldham of the efforts in progress to galvanise support to address the just grievances of the overseas Pakistanis and assured him that his suggestions will remain at forefront when initiating any purposeful mechanism to address those grievances.

Meanwhile, Vice President of the Association of Pakistani lawyers (UK) Barrister Saleem Shah of Shah and Sons Solicitors also called on Barrister Amjad Malik President of The Rochdale Law Association and congratulated him on holding a successful annual dinner of the Rochdale Law Association.

Mr Shah said, “It was a historic event where any lawyer from our community rose to the occasion and became the first Asian President of RLA in its 107 years history.”

Barrister Amjad Malik presented his book ‘Road to Justice’ to Barrister Saleem Shah who is the Principle of a small firm in levenshulme and provide his legal services to Asian community and expressed well wishes for the lawyer fraternity at his section.

Both agreed to work jointly for the rule of law, justice and constitutionalism in Pakistan, agreed to enhance their efforts for the betterment of Pakistan and host society and develop ways to benefit the overseas community and raise awareness for overseas Pakistanis rights to vote and honourable repatriation via representation at the forums which matter. Both further agreed to facilitate to increase business activity leaving no stone unturned to ensure security of the lives of overseas Pakistanis their property and life savings in Pakistan.
