Paula assures to support Kashmir cause, resolve all issues

DAVIS-BERRY: Newly elected Labour Party Parliamentarian from Davisberry, Paula Sherriff has reaffirmed pledge to support all the way the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people, to join Kashmiri Group in British Parliament, to convince the parliamentarians for passage of the resolution on Kashmir in the Parliament.
She was addressing a function organized in her honor while the function was also attended by renowned Kashmiri leader Raja Najabat Hussain, Chaudhry Bashir Rattvi, Councillor Muhammad Riaz Butt, Chaudhry Muhammad Fazil. Najabat Hussain and Chaudhry Muhammad Taj briefed the Parliamentarian about Kashmir issue. They got the ‘Kashmir Pledge Form’ signed by the parliamentarian.
Later renowned Muslim Conference leader Tariq Mehmood Rabbani hosted a high-tea in honor of Parliamentarian, councillors, political and social activists and felicitated the Paula and councillors. Councillor Muhammad Riaz Butt presided over the function.
Paula Sherriff assured to raise voice against unemployment in Davisberry, against the cut imposed by Central Government and to give while time to people of her constitution.
She thanked Kashmiri and Pakistani community who supported her and helped her to return to Parliament saying she is firm to represent her people in a better way. She said she will not only raise voice on Kashmir issue in the Parliament but also join Kashmir group and attend every meeting on Kashmir.
Paula was of the view that before present elections she was not well aware of Kashmir issue but after meeting community leaders she is now well aware of Kashmir issue and its importance.
She talked on issues and reaffirmed pledge to resolve all the issue the people are facing.
Councillor Riaz urged Paula Sherriff to ensure to raise Kashmir issue along with the local issued in British Parliament as Kashmir issue is of high importance for British Kashmiris. He also asked the Parliamentarian to use her efforts for solution of Kashmir issue besides to support the efforts of religious leaders for the legislation against the Islamophobia and help stop hatred against Muslims in Britain.
