Peace in South Asia lies in solution of Kashmir: Jack Straw
BLACKBURN: Former Secretary of State Jack Straw has said durable peace in South Asia is only possible when Kashmir issue is resolved as per wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people.
Kashmir issue remains in lime light at international forums when Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry was Prime Minister of AJK and Labour Party was in power in Britain, Jack Straw said while addressing a reception hosted in honor of former AJK Premier and Tehreek Insaf leader Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.
Jack Straw said Barrister Sultan always came in support of Friends of Kashmir during the general elections of the Britain which has always strengthened Kashmir cause and point of view of Kashmiri nation,
“During my term as British Foreign Minister I have always acted as bridge between India and Pakistan to normalize the relationship of the two countries”, Jack Straw said.
He said freedom movements are being crowned with success due to leadership like Sultan Mehmood who believe in continuous struggle for their cause.
The Parliamentary Candidate from Blackburn has assured full support and cooperation regarding the solution of Kashmir issue as per wishes of Kashmiri people.
Addressing the gathering Parliamentarian Sarah Champion said she is thankful to Barrister Sultan who always came in support of Friends of Kashmir and prepared his thousands of supporters across the Britain to support Labour Party. Like our past we will continue our support for Kashmir and Kashmiris and raise the issue not only in British Parliament but also at international forums.
