Sajjad Kareem returns with National Award

NELSON: Chairman Friends of Kashmir Group in European Parliament and Conservative European Parliamentarian, Dr Sajjad Kareem arrived at this home town with national award he was decorated with in Pakistan for his services for the motherland.
Media men in Nelson hold a meeting with Dr Sajjad Kareem and felicitated him for highest national award of Pakistan.
The recent visit of Dr Sajjad Kareem to Pakistan was on the invitation of Government of Pakistan to receive national award ‘Sitar e Pakistan’, which was decorated on Dr Sajjad Kareem for his services to achieve GSP Plus for Pakistan and bringing close the European Union and Pakistan. He has also raised voice against the human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
On his return from Pakistan he hosted a high tea at his residence in North West which was attended by a large number of political, social activists and representatives of both print and electronic media.
He thanked the participants particularly media person saying the ‘Sitar e Pakistan’ awarded to him is not his personal award but is belongs to people of North West who reposed their confidence on him. This award is for all friends who worked with me and joined hands for welfare of Pakistani people and they were crowned with success.
Media persons paid tributes to Dr Sajjad Kareem for his services.
The function was attended by Pakistan Press Club UK Vice President Arshad Rachyal, former Vice President Chaudhry Muhammad Ishaq, Pakistan Journalists Association Vice President Tahir Chaudhry, Mehboob Elahi Butt, Executive members Fayyaz Bashir, Talat Gondal, Nadeem Irshad, Khursheed Hameed, Salamat Hussain, Majid Nazir and Abdullah Zaid.
