Creation of women a blessing for universe: BTM

BIRMINGHAM: Binnatul Muslimeen Britain (BTM), an international women rights organization holds a night for promotion of Pakistani Culture and Urdu Literature to mark International Women’s Day.

The function was hosted by Chairperson Binnatul Muslimeen Britain Sumera Farrukh, Executive Directors Councillor Muhammad Akhlaq, Rehana Shaheen, Anila Asad, Shabnam Azad, Faiza Shahid, Shazia Akbar, and Memona Khan while a chief guest was Lord Mayor Birmingham Shafiq Ahmed Shah.

Muhammad Nawaz Khan father and mother of one martyr and another injured student of Army Public School Peshawar, Councillor Subhan Malik, Councillor Asim, Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Councillor Muhammad Zaman, Barrister Kala Khan, Atta Ul Haq, Habib Khan, Sayeeda Sultana, founder and executive director Pure Heart Rana Shama Nazir, Bilqees Sabir, Asif Khan, Habib Jan, Ikram Mirza, Javed Malik, Adam Chughtai, Prof Mahmood Raza, Talat Saleem, Farzana Khan Naina, Huma Khan, Tariq Mehmood, Shazia Anjum specially attended the function.

Special awards were also given to women for their outstanding work in different fields of life that include Mrs Khursheed Fazil, Sultan Bahu Trust, Sayeeda Sultana, Rana Shama Nazir, Bushra Chugtai, Fatima Khan, Razia Hidayat, Nighat Farooq, Syeda Farhat Hussain, Ayesha Shahid, Asma Azad, Memona Khan, Mrs Naseem Khan, Samina Ali, Najma Hafiz, Navida Asif, Milkayat Mala, Ishrat Qazi, Safia Noor, Saima Saleem, Aima Khan, Surriya Ibrahimi, Mrs Gulzar and Nadia Rafiq.

In his key note address Lord Mayor Shafiq Shah welcomed all the participants saying the presence of women in this universe is a blessing, source of pride and satisfaction. No one can measure the love and affection of a woman as mother with his children, he added.

The lap of mother is first university of his children from where he travels towards the highest universities of the world and reaches to any top slot, he said.

Muhammad Nawaz said women can extend their services for purification and education of a society and take the society towards new and highest horizons of success.
